The Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) just released its 2024–25 Super Elite Teams, and athletes from the Greater Houston area are leaving their mark. From dominant pitching performances to offensive explosions, the region’s softball talent earned some of the state’s highest honors.

🧢 Class 6A: Clear Springs, Katy, Langham Creek, Jordan, and Spring Represent
Erianna Garcia, Clear Springs HS (League City)
Named Catcher of the Year (COTY) by THSCA, Garcia led a Clear Springs squad with discipline, heart, and a powerful presence behind the plate.
- Batting Average: .468
- On-Base %: .562
- Home Runs: 10
- RBIs: 46
- Fielding %: .973
- Pop Time: 1.58 seconds
A vocal leader and standout student-athlete, Garcia is more than stats—she’s the emotional center of the Chargers and a powerful role model for the next generation of players.
“She’s the type of athlete every coach wants to build a program around,” one area coach noted.

🏅 Class 5A: Lake Creek and Barbers Hill Lead the Charge
Few programs in the state have been as dominant as Lake Creek (Montgomery)—and this year’s Super Elite roster proves why.
Sara Wiggins, Lake Creek HS – Class 5A MVP
The junior pitcher was nearly untouchable in the circle. She finished the year 22–0, including a dominant state championship game in which she allowed just two hits, one run, and struck out 11.
- Batting Average: .505
- State Final Performance: 2 RBIs at the plate in addition to her pitching dominance
Madalyn Davis, Lake Creek HS – Offensive Player of the Year
A North Carolina commit, Davis was electric all season—and clutch when it counted most.
- Season Batting Average: .580
- State Final Performance: 3-for-4, triple, 2 runs scored, 2 stolen bases, 1 RBI
